Getting Out and About
This week and into the weekend have been very busy for me. I started a new job this week at the veterinary hospital I had the opportunity to observe a few weeks ago. I have really enjoyed starting out there so far. I have been kept very busy learning the ropes of how they do things and stay organized. I have had the pleasure of seeing several of my old grooming clients and former co-workers. It has really been a good start for me.
Friday night, the little wire haired fox terrier I watch, Skye, was dropped off for the weekend. After settling her in, I went out with Adam and the rest of group to see our friends’ band, Tuff Enuff, play. I had to work early the next morning so we did not stay until the end of the show. Skye and Renegade make each other jump at every little noise all night, so I don’t get a lot of sleep when she is here.
Saturday, after getting very little sleep, I worked very early spending most of the day training and shadowing people. After a nice full day of work, I spent a little time with Adam before heading up to Milwaukee for a bachelorette party. We had a blast! I am so excited about this up coming wedding.
I spent most of today watching football and napping with the dogs. I was just completely exhausted. I did go out to dinner with my brother and some of our friends. It was nice to just take it easy and not have to worry about anything today.
It felt good to be getting out and working again. I really like to be busy. Too much time sitting around makes me crazy. I enjoy time off to spend with my family and friends, but too much of it all at once and I start to get lazy about everything. It has been great starting a new routine.
