My Life Head On
  • .: Just a Peek :.

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

    Relaxing on Friday Night

Posted By on March 29, 2013

I spent a good part of the morning working on both my personal and business websites. After servers changes and updates I had to reset some of settings and images to get things back to how they are supposed to be. It was time consuming ordeal, but I got to spend some quality time with my brother.

When I did eventually get to work, the hospital was boiling with tempers. Everyone seemed to irritated with someone. I did my best to just stay out of the fray and not let anythine or anyone bother me. All in all, it wasn’t really a bad night.

Finally getting home, I am enjoying the opportunity to relax and watch some hockey. Maybe i will even get to do a little reading tonight.

A Bad Case of the Mondays

Posted By on March 18, 2013

I left my house at 7:30AM this morning. I knew had a long day at work scheduled, but I had no idea today would be so long. My day at the veterinary hospital was a fairly typical Monday. The hospital was busy, and I was scheduled 8AM to 7PM. Now, we closer at 7, so I tend to actually be there a little later just to finish medical notes and closing. Every patient that I saw today was either a sick pet that needed extensive treatment planning, or was a new pet owner that had a lot of questions. I enjoy answering peoples questions and want to make sure that the patients that I see have their needs taken care of. Having said that, every patient that I saw today I spent at least an hour with if not more. I ended up at work until 7:45PM. The co-worker that I car pool with laughed because I was so busy today we literally didn’t see each other all day long. She is pet siting currently, so we needed to stop by the house to give medicine before she brought me home. We walked in to find water all over the floor. We spent the next hour cleaning up water and shutting of water to the pipes that were leaking all over the house waiting for someone to come look at the damage and call a plumber. We both missed dinner so we made a quick fast food stop on the way home. Finally,  14.75 hours later, I arrived home and was able to sit down and relax while doing my own dog sitting.

It’s going to be a long week.

    Transitioning

Posted By on October 21, 2012

Recently I moved into an apartment with Joey and Adam. It was quite the undertaking. We had a lot of furniture to move from two different places. My parents were moving out of state at the same time and getting rid of everything in the house that they did not need. We were fortunate enough to have the chance to take a lot of very nice items from them to stock our new home.  The process of moving is never an easy one. It creates a lot of stress. With all of us moving in different directions, life was purely chaotic. We had so much to do and the time frame was quickly moving in on us. Tempers were often short.  We all made it to our new homes eventually though.

While we were in the process of moving, I was also in the process of moving my grooming supplies into the salon.  Pawberry Lane had just started to open its doors. It  was finally time to start getting my things into new new home of  The PawFurred Style.  With so much going on, it was a long time before I could even get there to start organizing things. Unpacking is not exactly one of my favorite things to do,  and with having just unpacked an entire apartment, I was not exactly super motivated to start again. It is starting to look put together though. I have been working on getting things in an order so that I can really start to open for business. We still have to get plumbing set up for the tub, but I have been able to test out the space a little.

Things were also complicated when I had a seizure at work.  I had never had an episode like this before, but it opened my eyes to an all new understanding of my entire life. I have had migraines since I was a toddler. As I went from doctor to doctor, I discovered that many of these migraines were in fact seizures. Seizures that I experienced about once to twice a month.  Strangely enough, the diagnosis of epilepsy relieved me.  It has answered so many questions that I have had for years.  It has meant I needed to make several changes in my life. It has been an adjustment, and I am sure there will be more as time goes on.

The new grooming tub arrived today just 4 days after it was ordered. It is a beautiful little tub. We still have soome time before it can move it in to the new store though. It is here and ready as soon as the store is.
